The headlight burned out and they replaced it as it is under warranty. But they didn't snap it back together correctly so the blinker portion came loose and flapped against my front fender. It has cracked the lens of the blinker and has scratched the paint job. It's a brand new car - I've had it for 7 mos. Should I just have them snap it back in place or should I push the issue of the paint?

Of course you should have them replace the blinker light and address the paint job. They were responsible for replacing the lights correctly since it was under warranty. Due to the improprerly re-attached lens, their negligence caused the scratch on the car. I have a beamer, too, and it is expensive to paint. They will have to do it on their nickel. If the service rep does not agree, then move it up to the manager. While the car is in the shop, you should also request a loaner car. One time I got to drive a Z3 convertible for a week!!!

Take pictures of the damages and go back to the dealer. Have them replace everything in cluding the paint job since it's a new car. Talk to the manager right away and raise hell to them. That is their fault for doing a rush job. Get your money's worth of the car. Get a least car while your car is in the garage cause that is their fault. They should pay for that least car, insist on it. Don't take NO for an answer. Go girl, give them hell.......Don't ask them, DEMAND to fix those damages.
their mistake their problem. i work at an auto repair shop and a worker didnt close the hood all the way on a truck and it flew up while he was going down the road and bent the hinges. the shop had to replace the hinges no charge to the customer.
They should be liable for damage caused during their work on yoour car. I would get them to fix the paint.
BMW from my experience is a very reputable company and car. Go back to the dealer where you had the work down and they will probably do both. I'd push both issues. I'm sure they will cooperate.
