Hi..I wouldnt worry about it my 528i always had the airbag warning light on and also on my 328 ci i owned previously.

This is either pointing to a fault or a glitch, and the easiest way to find out is to simply have it reset and see if it comes back on.

If it comes back on then it is a fault and it needs rectifying, if it stays off then it was just a glitch and all is well.

Whilst the light is on, the airbag WILL NOT be working.

You could try the plugging and unplugging of the connector under the seat. You can unplug and plug it four or five times and it may reset the light.

it may just be a lose wire. take it to get checked to be on the safe side.

YOUR SHOULD GET YOU VEHICLES COMPUTER SCANNED TO FIND OUT JUST WHAT THE PROBLEM IS FIRST AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE SOME IDEA WHAT TO EXPECT.

TRY FINDING AN INDEPENDENT SHOP INSTEAD OF THE DEALER OR A CHAIN STORE BECAUSE YOU WILL BE OVERALL MORE PLEASED WITH THE FINDINGS AND THE SERVICE.
