i noticed some wisps of white smoke coming from the oil cap of the car when removing the cap with the engine running it puffed a bit of continuous white smoke out.
the engine note doesnt change, the car doesnt use any oil when ive checked for the last 6,000 miles and uses no water there is no misfire and as i said no blue smoke or signs of water oil contamination any ideas is this normal what could it be as i said the fact the engine note aint changing says to me piston rings are fine........?

you shouldn't remove the cap with the engine running.
the oil will heat when the engine is running to about 90 deg so a little smoke means nothing.

Probably nothing, but you could check/clean or replace your PCV valve.
my frank advise is, 4 you to take your car for medical check up.It looks like the valves needs some fine settings.Or a hair line crack on the valves.check it and drive in peace.
Nothing serious,dont worry..
Check your oil sending unit , its a 15 dollar part and sometimes will smoke if it is going bad. Good luck BMWs are really super sensitive.
