The glow plug light of my 320d fails to go out after starting the engine, is this a warning light to say I'm down a plug? The engine still starts fine, but its still quite mild.

I'm pretty sure the glow plug light does stay on if one is dead. Check your owners manual to be sure.
It will probably start ok on 3 plugs but best to make sure before it gets any colder.

check the power supply and also how many problems is ure car giving u?
it could be staying on if the glow timer relay is faulty. so its best to check power supply to the glow plugs is ok. then after that the glow pugs would need removed one by one and checked. if one is faulty your best changing them all. hope this helps.
