BMW 330 CI, 2001, Replacement AC stinks. Help.?

The AC stopped working. Had it replaced last year and the new fan or whatever they replaced stinks... literally. Hard to describe, but it's really nasty. Is there anything that can be done to stop that strange smell and what causes it?

I hate to go to the dealer not knowing what I'm talking about because it immediately sets me up to get ripped off. Any help would be warmly appreciated. Thanks.

Check out this link...this company sells a/c products exactly for the smell that is in your a/c system. And that smell that you smell is caused by mold and mildew.

This stuff eliminates odors caused by mold, mildew, smoke, bacteria, algae, and cigarette smoke. The spray enters your air intake vents and circulates throughout the vehicle and A/C system.

try replacing the microfilter
air freshners should help,

I believe your blower motor might be shorting and you get the melting stink,

only way is go to a air con service shop,to confirm it.

Not required to go to dealers.
